Hearing chimes or harmonics?
The other day, I was riding in a taxi and all of a sudden I heard and felt this loud chime sound. The best way I can describe it is this: It was a strong sound- a harmonic with many different notes, all occurring simultaneously. It sounded like that sound they play before a movie in a theater: that rising crescendo of tones to illustrate the sound quality- is that THX? Or, I suppose I could describe it as a robust train whistle sound. Anyway, it sounded quite like that, but was just one burst of sound (though not jarring) lasting about a second. It felt like it came from inside me, but at the same time- it was so loud and distinct that I initially thought it had been heard by everyone.
Well, I asked the taxi driver if he had heard a noise just now, and I described it. Lol- he looked at me like I was nuts and said no there was no sound. Part of me already knew he didn't hear it.
Does anyone have an idea about this? I have heard the term harmonic chords but don't know what it means and a google search really didn't yield much beyond music theory- lol. So, if you know anything about this, have experienced this or could point me in the right direction- I would be so appreciative! Thank you so much and have a great day!! XO
